Terms of Use - Iris AI: Eye Color Identifier

Welcome to Iris AI: Eye Color Identifier & Analyzer (“Iris AI”, “the App”), developed by Dmitry Mishchenko (“we”, “us”, “our”). By installing, accessing, or using Iris AI, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.

Important Medical Disclaimer: Iris AI is designed solely for entertainment, educational, and personal informational purposes. Iris AI is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or clinical ophthalmology advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider or ophthalmologist with any health concerns.

1. License and Permitted Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Iris AI for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms and applicable store rules (Google Play Terms of Service and Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions).

2. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Iris AI offers optional premium features through in-app purchases and auto-renewing subscriptions:

Payment & Billing: Payments are processed securely by Google Play (for Android devices) or the Apple App Store (for iOS devices). Payment will be charged to your Google Play Account or Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current subscription price.
Free Trials: If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial period will be forfeited when a subscription is purchased. At the conclusion of the free trial period, the subscription will automatically transition into a paid weekly subscription unless cancelled prior to the expiration of the trial.
Managing & Cancelling Subscriptions: You can manage or cancel your subscriptions at any time:
- Android: Open the Google Play Store App > Profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
- iOS: Open the Settings App > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
Refunds: Refund requests are governed by the respective store's refund policy: Google Play Refund Policy or Apple Support.

3. User Responsibilities & Content

When using Iris AI, you agree not to:

Submit images that violate intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of any third party.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code or proprietary AI models of the application.
Use the app to harass, impersonate, or conduct unauthorized surveillance on any person.
Interfere with or disrupt the backend infrastructure or networks supporting the application.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

Iris AI and all AI-generated analyses (color categorization, pattern identification, personality traits, and ancestry insights) are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Results are probabilistic and generated using artificial intelligence and computer vision techniques. We make no warranty regarding 100% scientific or medical accuracy.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your access to or use of the application.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the application at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or our business interests.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
